It looks like the Ghost of Christmas Present is about to give us just that - a present! On December 6th, "The Ghost of Time" will be released in Australia (and possibly New Zealand)! Coming out on the Roadshow Music label and distributed via Warner Music, "The Ghost of Time"'s release will start the countdown to the New Year's Eve celebration! Iva has restructured his classic Australian anthem, "Great Southern Land," into an intricate, multi-layered masterpiece! Blending the old with the new, he has created a seamless, timeless reflection of Australia that will be presented live on New Year's Eve at the Lord Mayor's Ball in Sydney. The performance will take place at the Sydney Opera House, in the forecourt area. The price of admission to this exclusive Ball is quite high ($800-$2000 a ticket)! However, Channel 9 in Australia will be broadcasting the event as part of their 27-hour New Year's telecast. Iva is slated to take the stage at about 11:15-11:18pm at the Opera House. Joining him will be the Australian Chamber Orchestra's Richard Tognetti on electric violin, The Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Japanese Taiko drummers Rom=Pari, and Guy Pratt, ex-Icehouse bassist.

International viewers may also catch a portion of Iva's performance on the airwaves. A 24-hour televised global event dubbed 2000 Today will feature highlights of major cities around the world as they usher in the year 2000.
